Spiritual Direction

About Spiritual Direction

A quiet space to listen deeply—for God, and for your own soul.

Spiritual direction is not about being “directed.” It’s about being accompanied. In these one-on-one sessions, you’ll be invited to notice where God is already present in your life, name what’s stirring beneath the surface, and discern how to respond from a place of trust, clarity, and spiritual rootedness.

Together, we’ll make room for silence, prayer, and holy curiosity—without pressure to perform or produce. This isn’t counseling, coaching, or teaching. It’s soul friendship centered on your relationship with God, guided by the Spirit and held in sacred confidentiality.

Whether you feel dry or discerning, curious or conflicted, you are welcome here. Come as you are. There’s no need to have the “right words.” We’ll listen together for the ones that matter.

A Note About Our Spiritual Directors

At Soul Trellis, we believe that the spiritual journey is deeply personal—and finding the right guide is part of that sacred discernment. While each director listed here shares a commitment to Christ-centered contemplative formation, they serve independently and may bring unique backgrounds, training, and theological nuance.

We’ve curated this list prayerfully, but we encourage you to reach out directly to learn more, ask questions, and listen for where the Spirit gives peace. Soul Trellis is not liable for the individual practices or outcomes of these independent direction relationships.

We’re here to support your becoming—whether through one of our listed guides or simply by helping you take the next faithful step.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens in a spiritual direction session?

Each session lasts about 50 minutes and centers around your spiritual life—what you’re noticing, longing for, or wrestling with. I’ll ask gentle questions, hold space for silence, and invite prayerful reflection. It’s less about advice and more about helping you become aware of God’s loving presence in your life.

Is this like therapy or counseling?

Not quite. While therapy focuses on mental and emotional healing, spiritual direction is focused on your relationship with God. It’s a sacred listening relationship—not problem-solving or diagnosing. That said, many people find direction and therapy complement one another beautifully.

Do I need to be in a specific denomination or have it all together spiritually?

Not at all. We work with women and men from a variety of Christian traditions—some active in church, some feeling disconnected. You don’t need to have eloquent prayers or a polished faith. You just need to show up with honesty and openness.

How often do we meet—and for how long?

Most directees meet once per month, though some choose twice monthly for a season. Sessions are held via Zoom and are 50 minutes long. I’ll send scheduling options after we’ve connected to ensure it’s a good fit.

What does it cost?

Spiritual direction is offered on a sliding scale of $65–$95 per session, based on what is sustainable for you. We trust you to choose the rate that reflects your current capacity. Limited scholarships may be available upon request.
